Our Social Ballroom Class had the wonderful opportunity to compete with the Danzinskule organization this month, and our dancers truly rose to the occasion.
Our Level 1 dancers participated in the Danzinskule Team Match at Utah Valley University on March 7th. One group earned a bronze rating, while the other achieved a gold rating along with an impressive 2nd place overall—originally tied for first and decided by a special ruling. A special congratulations goes to Jonathan K. and Brooklyn H. for placing 4th in the Danzinskule class cha-cha competition!
Our Level 2 dancers competed at the Danzinskule Team Match at Brigham Young University on March 11th, where they brought home a gold rating and 4th place overall. The Vista Heights Social Ballroom program continues to prove that it is truly a force to be reckoned with.
In addition, our ballroom teams had the exciting opportunity to perform their formation medleys at the National Competition held at BYU last week. In the Junior Ballroom category, the Thunder team’s Hercules medley earned 3rd place in Division 2, while the Lightning team’s Tangled medley took 5th place in Division 2. In the Junior Latin category, the Lightning team’s Spider-Verse medley placed 4th in Division 2, and the Thunder team’s Lorax medley finished 5th in Division 2.
We also had several team couples advance through multiple rounds in the individual events throughout the week—an incredible accomplishment. Please take a moment to congratulate any of our ballroom team members you see for their hard work and success!
