Traverse Mountain Elementary has two administrators: Mrs. Karie Cooper (Principal) and Mr. Josh Yoder (Assistant Principal). They are both committed to ensuring that Traverse Mountain Elementary students gain the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they will need to become confident, capable adults who can thrive and work well with others.
Both Mrs. Cooper and Mr. Yoder loved the early years they spent as classroom teachers before becoming administrators. They have taught Alpine School District students in the classroom and continue to enjoy opportunities to teach lessons whenever possible.
They say the best part of their current roles is having the opportunity to serve all of the students and teachers from Kindergarten through 6th grade. We have the best students you will find anywhere and our teachers are the "cream of the crop!"
