Hello Mustangs!  I am excited to continue this year as the principal at Manila Elementary!  This will be my 26th year in education and my 19th year in Alpine School District.  I spent 17 years as a classroom teacher (Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades).  I worked with BYU undergraduate students for 3 years.  I was a PLC coach for 2 years.  I was an assistant principal for 3 years. This will be my 2nd year as the Principal at Manila.

I will have been married to my husband, Kelly, for 28 years this August. We have two boys, ages 25 and 23. Some of my favorite things to do are exercise (mostly running), reading, hiking, traveling, and playing golf whenever I can.

I have loved working with the faculty and staff here at Manila.  This is a great school with a great community that I hope to continue to support for the foreseeable future!  We will continue to have a strong focus on literacy and continue to support students in becoming competent readers.  Reading is a building block for all other subject areas.  We also want to continue to support the whole child, which includes supporting students with their social and emotional well-being.
