9th Grade Lagoon Day is May 21st. Tickets will be available April 20th - May 6th. Here are the term 4 requirements to participate:
~No failing grades
~No more than 5 unexcused tardies
~No major behavior offenses (truancy, disrespect, foul language, etc.)
~All fees paid
Attention current 9th-grade students and parents! Please read the following important information regarding 2026-2027 Westlake sophomore registration.
March 25–26: Westlake counselors will present to students in the auditorium during their English classes regarding sophomore registration. Parents are welcome to attend any class period. The presentation will be during the first 45 minutes of each period. *See attached bell schedule
March 27: Westlake Welcome Day – Buses will pick up from LMMS at 9:15. See previous post.
April 2: Sophomore registration at 3:45 PM. Computer labs will be available at LMMS from 3:45 – 4:30.

To accommodate our 9th graders attending Westlake Day on Friday, March 27th we will have a "No-Shield" Schedule.
The Heart of the Warrior is awarded each semester to a teacher that has made an impact or embodied what it means to have the heart of a Lake Mountain Warrior. Parents, guardians, and students are invited to fill out a nomination form on our website, nominating a teacher for our current semester. Please include the reason why you are nominating him or her. Thank you for sharing the wonderful experiences you have had at Lake Mountain.

The Sources of Strength's March Activity is collecting supplies for the Westlake High School Pantry! March 19th - 31st.
Where: There will be a bin for donations in the counseling office.
For every item you donate, you will be given an entry into a drawing. The winners will receive a prize that can be used to spend time with your family.

On March 11, Alpine School District offers the ACT test free to high school juniors. To accommodate this test, that day will be an A/B day. Students will attend all 8 classes that day and there will be one lunch. We will be on an adjusted bell schedule.
Current 7th and 8th graders - the last day to select your classes for the 2026-27 school year is Friday, February 27th. Please review the Course Request Checklist to ensure you have done everything necessary. Visit our Counseling website for more information.
