Lake Mountain School District has approved the acquisition of a 100-acre site in Eagle Mountain for the development of a future joint education campus in partnership with Utah Valley University and Mountainland Technical College.
The project represents a major investment in the future of education in western Utah County and is designed to support the region’s rapid growth while expanding opportunities for students and families.
The future campus will include a new Lake Mountain high school, alongside facilities for higher education and technical training programs, creating a more seamless pathway for students from high school to college and career preparation.
According to district leadership, the vision is to create a long-term educational hub that helps students access multiple learning opportunities in one location while strengthening workforce development and community partnerships.
“This 100-acre campus represents a bold, forward-thinking investment in the future of our community,” said Julie King, President of the Lake Mountain School District Board of Education, in comments shared with KSL. “Our community is growing rapidly, and this campus reflects proactive planning rather than reactive solutions.”
The site will also help position the district to better meet future enrollment demands as Eagle Mountain and surrounding communities continue to experience significant population growth.
