Dear Harvest Elementary Families,

As we begin a new school year, I want to share how truly grateful I am to be part of the Harvest community. There’s something powerful about the energy this time of year brings, new beginnings, new relationships, and new opportunities to grow together.

One of the things that drew me to Harvest is the strong, student-centered culture that already exists here. In my 11 years as a school administrator, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of school communities but Harvest truly stands out. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this is a school where students are known, supported, and deeply cared for. It’s a place where kindness, collaboration, and high expectations aren’t just talked about, they’re lived out every day by staff, students, and families.

I want you to know that I am fully committed to continuing this important work. I will honor and build on the incredible foundation that has already been laid by Mr. Stewart and the passionate educators and leaders who came before me. Together, we’ll keep fostering a culture of belonging where every child feels safe to take risks, explore their interests, and discover their full potential.

I also believe that our strength as a school comes from our partnership with families. Your support, involvement, and insights are key to our shared success. I look forward to connecting with you throughout the year, whether it’s at morning drop-off, a school event, or a quick conversation in the hallway.

This year holds so much promise, and I’m excited to walk this journey with you. Thank you for the trust you place in us every day. Let’s make it a year filled with joy, growth, and connection.

With gratitude,

Principal Kingsford

P.S. If you didn’t get a chance to see it back in February, here’s a short Draw My Life video I shared with the community. It’s a fun way to get to know a little more about me and my journey!
