Grovecrest Elementary School Fundraiser Heats Up with "Let Him Cook" Theme
Raises Nearly $7,000 for Technology and Playground Upgrades
This May, our school community turned up the heat for a great cause with our annual fundraiser, inspired by the popular saying, "Let Him Cook." The theme came to life in our hallways with a giant thermometer tracking donations and milestone rewards, fueling excitement throughout the month.
While our ambitious goal was $10,000, we are proud to announce that just under $7,000 was raised—an incredible achievement thanks to the generosity of families, staff, and local supporters.
Funds raised went directly toward purchasing technology and playground equipment for students. With your help, we were able to reach our final technology milestones: every student now has access to a Chromebook, and every classroom is equipped with an Apple TV and iPad to enhance instruction and engagement.
The remainder of the funds will be used to upgrade our playground and recess experience. Planned purchases include balls, equipment containers, benches, shade structures, and—if possible—new picnic tables for outdoor learning and play.
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our students. We’re excited for you to see the positive impact of your contributions as we head into the new school year!
