A chinese teacher presents in a classroom at Alpine Elementary

September 10th was Teacher’s Day in China! This national holiday honors the incredible impact that educators have on shaping our future. In that spirit, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the amazing teachers in our Chinese Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program.

"Our teachers bring a deep love for their students, creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment," said Alicia Demill, Administrator of Federal and State Programs for Alpine School District.

Alpine Elementary, Black Ridge Elementary, Cascade Elementary, and Riverview Elementary host Chinese DLI programs.

"Many of our teachers are native Mandarin speakers from China, which enriches the classroom with authentic cultural experiences that simply can't be replicated."

Beyond language proficiency, our teachers bring a wealth of expertise and a passion for student success. The DLI program offers a wide range of benefits that go far beyond just learning a new language, including enhanced cognitive skills, improved academic performance, and a deeper understanding of one’s first language.

All of this is made possible by our dedicated educators.

Please join us in celebrating our Chinese Immersion teachers. A simple gesture of gratitude—a kind note, a thoughtful email—can make a huge difference. Thank you so very much to all of our teachers for their incredible work!
