Sage Canyon Middle School officially opened to a large crowd of students, teachers, and community members during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 7.
“This school will be a place where students can learn and grow,” said Principal Brian Jolley to a crowd of several hundred gathered in front of the school. “We are committed to each student, every day, and helping them become better people than they were the day before.”

“We live in a community marked by growth. Growth in numbers, yes, but also in ambition, vision, and care,” said Alpine Board President Julie King. “This school will stand as a visible, lasting commitment to you, our students, and to every student who will walk these halls in the years to come. ”
Charlie Rowland, an 8th-grader at Sage Canyon, cut the ribbon. He was selected by Principal Jolley for the honor because
“It makes me really happy to cut the ribbon because I already love Sage Canyon. I always asked Mr. Jolley for photos. Now I get to go here,” Charlie said.
