Lake Mountain School District (LMSD) is expanding educational opportunities with the launch of a new K–12 Online School, set to open in Fall 2027. The district is inviting families, students, staff, and community members to help shape the school's identity by proposing a name and mascot.
The new online school will offer flexible learning opportunities designed to meet the diverse needs of students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. By combining personalized instruction with the resources and support of the district, LMSD aims to provide an engaging and accessible educational experience for every learner.
A Flexible Approach to Learning
The K–12 Online School will offer a comprehensive academic program with multiple learning pathways, allowing students and families to choose options that best align with their educational goals.

The district is inviting parents, students, employees, and community members to submit their ideas for the new school's name and mascot.

What Happens Next?
Following the submission deadline, Principal Ross Menlove will review and compile the community's suggestions before presenting potential school names to the Lake Mountain School District Board of Education.
The Board will select and vote on the final school name during an upcoming board meeting.
In the coming months, LMSD will share additional details about enrollment, academic schedules, and informational sessions for interested families.
The launch of the K–12 Online School marks an important step in expanding educational opportunities and providing students with more ways to learn, grow, and succeed.
